Random Observations - v5

Some random observations that I’ve collected over the past several weeks.

• Two very powerful articles that I highly recommend:

- Totalitarianism and the Five Stages of Dehumanization, by Christiaan Alting Von Geusau

- The Vaccine Moment (part 1), by Paul Kingsnorth

They are not short reads, but incredibly important for the time we find ourselves living in.

• Nu fun Covid facts: The World Health Organization uses Greek letters to designate the major strains of the Covid-19 virus. They used Nu and Omicron for the latest two variants. But wait a minute; In the Greek alphabet, the letter Xi comes after Nu and before Omicron. Oops, that just happens to be the surname of a certain Chinese Communist Party dictator!

• Walnut Creek made national news again this past week. In a “well-coordinated” attack, our downtown Nordstrom’s was looted and ransacked by a group of approximately 80 individuals armed with hammers, crowbars, pistols, and pepper spray. They were able to take tens of thousands of dollars’ worth of merchandise in just a few minutes, injuring three employees in the process. The quest for our progressive utopia continues apace.

• “Rachel” Levine is a biological male that dresses as a woman and goes by feminine pronouns (she, her). He currently serves in the Biden administration as the Assistant Secretary for Health and several weeks ago was sworn in as a four-star admiral in the military’s US Public Health Service Commissioned Corps. “Rachel” now holds a higher military rank than General George Patton when he led the US Third Army through France and Germany in 1945. The Health and Human Services (HHS) Department put out a press release identifying Levine as, “the first ever female four-star admiral.” [emphasis mine] Instead of calling out the obvious lie, the media celebrated.

Congressman Jim Banks (R-IN) posted on Twitter, “The title of first female four-star officer gets taken by a man.” Twitter has now locked him out of his account for violating their rules against hateful conduct. Totalitarianism is here, whether you recognize it or not. We are required to go along with the lie, or we must be marginalized and punished.

• Our local In-N-Out burger was recently closed by the county health department. Their code violation: they did not require vaccination cards and photo IDs from their customers dining indoors. The restaurant released a statement, “We refuse to become the vaccination police for any government. It is unreasonable, invasive, and unsafe to force our restaurant Associates to segregate Customers into those who may be served and those who may not, whether based on the documentation they carry, or any other reason, according to a statement from In-N-Out.” Please support your local In-N-Out! They are one of the few willing to stand up to the fascists.

• The FDA has recently authorized the use of the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccination in children between the ages of 5 and 11. Dr. Erica Pan, California’s top epidemiologist issued a statement: “Our youngest children have remained vulnerable to the highly contagious virus as older Californians have received their vaccine. Now the time is coming to protect them.” Keep in mind that children face a minimal risk from Covid-19 and are statistically more likely to die from the common flu than from this Corona virus.

We are witnessing the birth of a new cult in which salvation comes from the tip of a needle and our state and local health officials have become evaxelists.

• A bit of sad news. The Salvation Army has gone woke. In addition to soliciting donations, they are now asking white people to offer a sincere apology for our historic and systemic racism. It’s only a matter of time; Get woke, go broke!

• But the Good News far out ways the bad news: "If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. Remember what I told you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also. They will treat you this way because of my name, for they do not know the one who sent me. If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not be guilty of sin; but now they have no excuse for their sin. Whoever hates me hates my Father as well. If I had not done among them the works no one else did, they would not be guilty of sin. As it is, they have seen, and yet they have hated both me and my Father." [John 15:18-24]
